Snowy Range Ski Area
"For something new and fun, my husband and I decided to take our family and learn to ski. None of us have ever bean skiing so we thought it would be fun for all of us to go to Snowy Range and take lessons. What a waste of time and money! We got up really early so we could be sure to get there in time for our lessons, which were at 9:30 for the adults, and 10:00 for the kids. Well when we got there at 8:30 we purchases our tickets and rentals, thinking we had plenty of time to get everything we needed and get to our classes. Boy were we wrong!! When we got inside there were people everywhere! There were lines going all over and nobody seamed to no where to go or what to do.There were not any signs that CLEARLY told anyone what to do. We waited in one line for 20 minuites before someone figured out that it was for large groups only. Then we waited in another line for a long time before we overheard someone say that you need to go put your kids name on a list for lessons. I went to do that while my husband continued to wait in a very long line of losat people. At this point it was 9:30 and of course my husband and I were missing our lesson. There were so many people waiting in line with kids that needed to take lessons they decided to rush them through. What a laugh!! It still took until 10:30 to get all of us through. Well The lessons were as good as nothing. My 5 year old got frustrated and they took her back after about 20 minuites and left her at the sign up place for the rest of the time. We found out later that there kids lift wasn't working so they expected her to walk up the mountain on skis sideways! Well no wonder she got frustrated!!! Then my 7 year old had to go potty. They walked her over and then left while she was in the bathroom. The people there would not let her join her class so she too missed out. My husband and I also took lessons. After about 29 minuites in the instructor took us to a grean, didn't explain anything about the lift, and after about 3/4 of the way down said,Well I am going to cut the lesson short because this one lady can't hardly stand up on her skis, so you guys need to ski the rest of the way down on your own. Needless to say the lessons cost us a lot of money and none of us got anything out of them. When we talked to them about this all they said is we will send you a free lesson in the mail. Well we already spent a fortune getting there in the first place, not to mention the wasted day on the slopes. They never once said that they were sorry for any of this. We also ate at there so called food court. They ran out of most of the stuff on the menu and the charge a fortune! If I were you I would not waste my time and money on this place." - a Tripadvisor user
