  2. Bear Den Petting Zoo & Farm
"Driving up to the Bear Den Petting Zoo, I was a little hesitant. However, upon entering we were pleasantly surprised. The animals seemed to be very well cared for. They looked very healthy and their cages were very clean. It seems each animal receives a lot of personal attention. The guided tour is very informative. The children were able to safely interact many different animals. They have quite a variety. Everyone gets a hayride and the children get a pony ride. If you go later in the fall, they have pumpkins to pick during the hayride." - a Yahoo user
  3. Old World Wisconsin
"Old World Wisconsin provides an excellent opportunity to experience and learn about life in 19th century Wisconsin. All of the farms, buildings, and houses in the park were taken from their original locations in the state. The historical society made an effort to represent as many different ethnic immigrant groups as possible including German, Danish, Finnish, and Norwegian. Docents in 19th century attire are available in many areas of the park to answer questions and provide information about the history of the farms and buildings. You may also obtain an audio device from the admissions counter, which gives tourists further information about each site. I would recommend that tourists to the state skip Wisconsin Dells, which is an overrated tourist trap, and instead make the trip to Old World Wisconsin. It takes an entire day to see the park and don’t forget to stop at Clausen Barn restaurant for fresh bakery. The corn bread was heavenly." - a Tripadvisor user
