THINGS TO DO

  1. South Charleston Museum
"The museum provides a very valuable link to the history of South Charleston and the entire Kanawha valley area. I have visited several times and have always come away impressed as well as more knowledgable of our history and culture. I am amazed at the variety of displays and exhibits that have been featured by the museum." - a Yahoo user
  2. Big Bend Golf Course
"I visited this course with some acquaintences. Unbelievably, residents of the area were burning garbage! The acrid odor was nauseating and we had to endure it the entire time we were there. We actually gave up before finishing our game and fled the area. My hosts were mortified that a golf course they recommended would be subject to the stench of burning garbage!" - a Yahoo user
  3. Scarlet Oaks Country Club
"Scarlet Oaks used to be a great country club. In the early 90's there were 600 members, a tennis club, a swim team, and many great golf events. Now it is in bankruptcy, the membership has disappeared, the rangers ride roughshod over anyone that has the misfortune of playing the course. Until this place is taken over by professionals, you would be better off playing anywhere else." - a Yahoo user
  1. Avampato Discovery Museum
  2. South Charleston Memorial Ice Arena
  3. Five Corners Sports Garden
  4. Berry Hills Country Club
  1. South Charleston Mound Festival
