"I have been to the State Park several times. It is well maintained and kept clean. The people are very friendly and helpful. One of the best Parks at the beach. You can camp and go to the beach all in one day and never leave the area. It is a must when you go to Plattsburgh, NY.. The water and beach is great to be in the sun for a while and then in the shade of your camp. The people in the are are very friendly and welcome you. The city and area has many other events expecially around July 4th. You must see the beautiful area for fishing. The area has another State Park just about nine miles south on Route 9. "You must see this Museum when you get to Plattsburgh,NY. If you want to go back in see what the past looked like come ASAP. The guides don't hurry you threw just to get you out the door. They explain every item or question you may have. I have been there more than once just to see what I didn't look at the first time. The inside of this building is a great wonder. Oh, how much we have missed over the years. Your whole family should be at the Museum just to experience a wonder of a lifetime.
