Hildene
"Hildene, the home of Robert Todd Lincoln, only surviving son of President Abraham Lincoln, is well worth a visit. The location is conveniently near downtown Manchester VT, yet feels out in the country. The staff is welcoming, and tours are constant--with choice of "on your own" or guided. This no-waiting policy makes it convenient for those on a schedule. Robert Lincoln was president and chairman of the Pullman train car company, and the house reflects his business interests as well as family history. This is an early 20th century house, so many visitors will have a "grandma had one of those" experience. The gardens were in full bloom during our August visit." - a Tripadvisor user

"The Arts Center has a wonderful campus on the base of Mount Equinox. The Musuem hosts a wonderful collection of local artists, and has shows throughout the summer.
