Bromley View Inn
"We stayed at the Bromley View Inn for a night in the end of October, just after the leaves were past peak colors. The views from the Inn were breathtaking, with the Bromley ski resort visible from half of the rooms (including ours). The innkeepers, Kevin and Kami, couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful. The Inn was quiet that night, and we wound up chatting with them for almost two hours without realizing it! As their website says, they have three Golden Retrievers, which we were a little leery of, but they were quite unobtrusive (unless you wanted to pet them). We're normally allergic to pets, but in this case had no problems; this also may be due in part to the impeccably clean room we had. Breakfast was also very good, with a couple of different main choices offered. Kevin also makes a point of chatting with guests in the mornings, which adds a personal touch we found lacking in some other B&Bs we had stayed at on our vacation. The inn itself is nice, but it's the innkeepers that make it exceptional. The next time we're in the area, we definitely plan on going back!" - a Bedandbreakfast user

Hildene
"Hildene, the home of Robert Todd Lincoln, only surviving son of President Abraham Lincoln, is well worth a visit. The location is conveniently near downtown Manchester VT, yet feels out in the country. The staff is welcoming, and tours are constant--with choice of "on your own" or guided. This no-waiting policy makes it convenient for those on a schedule. Robert Lincoln was president and chairman of the Pullman train car company, and the house reflects his business interests as well as family history. This is an early 20th century house, so many visitors will have a "grandma had one of those" experience. The gardens were in full bloom during our August visit." - a Tripadvisor user
