The Grove Farm Homestead is another location in Lihue that was once a sugar plantation. The staircase of this home is especially impressive because it is made from native Koa wood. Tours are available, contact the location to confirm times. The price of admission is quite reasonable and offers a full day of fun for everyone. Drop into the tearoom for a snack. You can even choose to stay at this location in the guest cottage. However, you do need to make your reservations well in advance of your visit.

If you typically enjoy a more active vacation rather than lazing on the beach, then participate in the Maui Marathon and half-marathon.
