THINGS TO DO

  1. Ruby Falls
"We loved the whole experience. From finding our way to our destination to the breath taking views. We loved the tour guides and the service. Prices were a little steep but that is anywhere you go now a days. We are planning another trip in the summer. The kids brought back so much from this trip. They not only had fun but learned a whole lot too." - a Yahoo user
  2. Walnut Street Bridge
"We had dinner in Chattanooga then decided to start walking to find this gem...and boy what a gem it is! If you hit it at sunset to dusk it really is just beautiful. It is in a good neighborhood and only a few blocks from the Aquarium so getting there is easy. As you stroll along you will find local musicians playing for you making it even a nicer experience. The views of the boats on the river and the twinkling lights of city are awesome. At the east end of the bridge is Coolidge Park and again a nice place to stroll and walk around. You might think this is just for couples but even my three children enjoyed it...so don't be fooled. Afterwards we walked back to the downtown district and topped off the evening with ice cream from Ben & Jerry's...yummm! If your ever in the area....walk the bridge! You will be glad you did!!" - a Tripadvisor user
  3. Southern Belle Riverboat
"My wife and I took the Valentines cruise. I will start with the one good thing about this cruise. The food was excellent. Prime Rib, potatoes, shrimp creole, salad, and Pecan Pie - but the food was not served to you, it was buffet style. For the price of this cruise I was expecting to be waited on. The tables are very close together and you have to sit with people you do not know. Not a very romantic way to spend Valentine's weekend cruise. The signing or band was not very good. They played a good variety of music but they sounded terrible. One of the members of the two man band sounded like he had snuck in and emptied some of the bottles of champagne before he started singing. The dinner last about an hour and then you are then left to enjoy the ride down the river. After about 10 minutes of the cruise you are out away from the city so there are not really any scenic views or lights to look at. Included in this Valentines package was a free photo that was taken when you boarded the ship. The picture looked like something from an instant polaroid camera. With all the technology that we have today - they cant provide a decent looking picture. The boat was older looking and they apparently are not too concerned with the look of it on the outside - it could use a paint job. The inside was clean however but the age of the boat showed in noises that were made by the ship - it was constantly making poping sounds. Also if you take this cruise you may want to request a bottom level table. That is where the band is at and the dance floor. We were on the upper level and our band came from the sound of a speaker overhead. I will not be returning to this river cruise. There are a lot more things I can do with my $120. This is the price of the Valentines Package for two people." - a Yahoo user
