Senior QA Release Manager
OVERVIEW:
Lead quality assurance at an exciting new startup keenly focused on test driven development. This position will be responsible for improving practices for automated and manual testing, creating a risk assessment framework and will own the release management process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to create test plans and make strategic decisions about where to focus efforts and why.
- Identify testing tools and define best practices for use.
- Define processes for issue tracking, release management, establishing and maintaining a QA environment. Includes writing requirements/specifications for frameworks to achieve these ends and managing projects to completion.
- Report on software quality and assessment of risk associated with a release.
- Hands-on involvement in test planning as well as execution. Willing to do what it takes to get us going and get a team built.
- Find and hire a world-class QA team to assist you and ensure we have the coverage and quality we need.
- Reports to the VP of Product Development.
EXPERIENCE:
- You have three to six years experience as a QA manager with a team of three to ten. You have the ability to inspire and communicate clearly.
- You are a champion for test driven development, automated testing and continuous integration.
- You have experience writing specifications for automated testing frameworks and load testing frameworks. Samples of your work would be great to see.
