Home of author John Grisham, Jonesboro has been a popular main stay for visitors for decades, serving as the place to vacation in northeastern Arkansas.  Now decades after its popularity, Jonesboro still holds to its name with its newly revamped downtown area, which features newer attractions and lodging designed for couples.  Although Jonesboro is typically less adventurous than Branson, it is quietly romantic.  Lodging here is typically cheaper than other cities, with prices ranging well under $100 a night.
