UpTake Charleston family hotels guide featuring some of the best hotels in West Virginia. Get honest kid friendly hotel reviews, for everything from discount hotels with cheap hotel rooms, to boutique and luxury hotels. Reviews are from other travelers who may have visited these hotels with babies, toddlers, and children. At UpTake we know that the kids like hotels with pools, balconies, kids’ clubs and a free breakfast so just pick the amenities you want and we will find the right hotel for you.
Stop at Charleston’s West Virginia Chamber and Visitor’s Bureau, headlining Charleston as the “Gateway to West Virginia.” We discovered the historic landmark Brass Pineapple Bed & Breakfast Inn for family vacations in Charleston. Desire a perfect romantic getaway? Romantic couples adore “The Victorian Rose Room.” Traveling with children? “The Hearts and Flowers Suite” welcomes you into this kid-friendly hotel; otherwise, consider taking the stately “English Gentleman Suite” while your older teens bunk upstairs in “The Grandmother’s Room.” The attentive staff serves special diet needs for a scrumptious afternoon tea, and we dove into the waffles at breakfast in the morning. The Brass Pineapple is a pet-friendly B&B with reasonable rates.
Budget-conscious families enjoy exceptional rates at the Parsley Motor Inn, conveniently situated in Charleston, West Virginia. The Inn enjoys quick access to the three major interstates, and you’ll enjoy the comfortable rooms and helpful staff. Ask about their discounts during extended vacations.
Two mid-level hotels worth considering include the pet-friendly Travel Lodge Dunbar and the Country Inn & Suites in S. Charleston. Both properties offered a nice continental breakfast, and the Country Inn boasts an indoor pool and hot-tub. Our kids appreciated the extended hours of the pool, opening very early for business travelers.
