Savannah, Georgia

Savannah, Georgia Hotels, Things to do, and Vacation Information.

If you're looking for family fun without the family price, head to downtown Savannah, one of Georgia's most popular vacation spots.  Savannah, besides being the food capital of Georgia, has a rich cultural heritage that involves ghosts -- which is why Savannah is so popular around Halloween.  We suggest you visit during the spring, however, when the weather is tolerable.

Being that Savannah is all about family vacations, you'll find no down time here.  From ghost tours to shopping, Savannah has everything for kids, big or small.  Make the ghost tours your first stop, where tour guides will safely guide kids throughout the many haunted regions in Savannah.  There's also Savannah's famous Old Savannah Tours for a less spooky experience.  Savannah also has a water park for kids to play in, Splash in the Boro.

Perhaps you aren't taking your kids to Savannah, which is understandable.  Savannah is very romantic as well, with romantic dining available along the lake shore.  We love the lodging available here which still retains its historical roots (sometimes, this includes ghosts).  Some lodging here is expensive, but a lot of the lodging is reasonably priced.  Check out the restaurants also which still retain its southern, romantic charm.  For more information about Savannah, including vacation deals, restaurants, attractions, and more, visit Savannah's official website
