OUR TAKE ON DALLAS
Located in the western part of Georgia sits the small town of Dallas, named after the Vice President George M. Dallas, who served under President James K. Polk. A sleepy town with just under 10,000 residents makes this a quiet place to stay for a weekend or a night just passing through. Take part in outdoor activities at Paulding County Recreation or stroll Dallas’ main street for a quiet afternoon of shopping. For a little area history and culture, we recommend a day at Paulding County Museum or the Paulding Fine Arts Center.
Dallas, Georgia has a handful of accommodations to choose from all affordably priced for a weeklong vacation or a night on your road trip. We suggest a clean, quiet room at the Dallas Motel, or a night at the Sunsets Motel. Finding food is easy in Dallas with many local restaurants to choose from. No matter your reason for a getaway, you’ll find a warm welcome in Dallas, Georgia.

Gone With the Wind Movie Museum
"This museum was a great find! We loved it, and we came upon it by accident. It had tons of items on display, like scripts and posters and things from when the movie was made. The fun stuff was all the collectibles made over the years. Even in the 1940's, they made collectible things. It was fun seeing all these things. I don't know what was wrong with the person who made the negative comment, as she is all wrong. This museum was a blast to see! Even the kids loved it" - a Tripadvisor user
