THINGS TO DO
-
Indian Trace Golf Course
"This is a nice course for the begginer, but also for an advanced player. It isn't long at all. It has a lot of lakes and ponds that come into play. Very scenic on the back nine. I live within 30 miles of the course and I play it about 8 times a year. The only thing I dont understand about it is that there aren't any bunkers at all. The greens are pretty slow compared to other courses I've played, but it makes putting easier and that is ok by me." - a Yahoo user
-
Chief Vann House
"It is a very moving experience on the strife of the American Indians when they were forced from their homes. The Moravian settlement is the icing on such an interesting bit of history. A must for all imported Americans to see how the real Americans lived and prospered." - a Yahoo user

Fort Mountain State Park
"from the views off both sides of the mountian to the nature trails to the 100 acre lake atop the mountain the whole park is breath taking. you can visit the historical stone fort built by unknown 'moon eyed people' before desoto's explorers visited the area. climb the viewing tower erected by ivan allen. rent bikes to traverse miles of relatively flat paved roads. the nature trail at the dam on the westward side of the lake offers an easy 1 mile trek with views of waterfalls, mountain flora and western vistas. camping, picnicing or cabin rentals are all provided at nominal rates. explore nature, romp in the woods, swim fish or canoe in the lake. fort mountian park has a lot to offer every one. but be forewarned the water in the lake is cold." - a Tripadvisor user
