THINGS TO DO
-
Fort Matanzas
"Although Fort Matanzas is free most of the time. If you spring for an extra $5/person you can go on the night tour. You have to check at the visitor's center or the website for availability, they don't run all the time. On the night tour you get to watch a total of 4 cannon firings. 2 while you are on the ferry on the way over and 2 watching from behind the fort. Both are a unique and exciting experience. During the evening program the fort is fully staffed with living history interpreters, so you get to see what it really was like. The views of the river and the fort at sunset are the great. There is also a musket firing demonstration." - a Tripadvisor user

Oldest House The
"This might not be on your first list of things to see and do, but it is something one ought to experience. Our guide was very informative. She explained the house and why it was like it was and gave the uses during the different periods of history. I was really glad I went on this tour." - a Tripadvisor user

St. George Street
"I LOVE THIS STREET! =) It is really nice walking down it in the evening and visiting all the shops. Most of the shops are reasonably priced to take home gifts. Don't leave until you get to see the wonderful beauty of this street and do a little shopping. Some great musicians play on it as well." - a Tripadvisor user
