OUR TAKE ON DUNEDIN
With its small town image and 4 miles of Gulf coastline, Dunedin, Florida is the perfect weekend escape. Travelers who venture down to one of the oldest towns on the West Coast will not be disappointed by a lack of things to do and see. Dunedin’s history, culture, beautiful parks and endless options for recreational activities for all ages, makes it a great vacation sport for anyone looking to get away. Dunedin has two unique Island assets located just off the coast, making the destination even more enticing. Honeymoon and Caladesi Islands reside in the blue waters surrounding Dunedin. Honeymoon Island is a state park and can be accessed by a 5 minute trip over the Dunedin Causeway. This unique island harbors the protected waters of the St. Joseph Sound where you can enjoy activities such as kayaking, windsurfing, canoeing or just relaxing on the beach. Or you can relax on Caladesi Island, which is accessible by boat or ferry and is consistently named one of Florida’s top beaches. Enjoy the southern hospitality at one of Dunedin’s accommodations; for a quiet experience for two, we recommend the Meranova Guest Inn or the Holiday Inn Express & Suites for the family of four. There are endless options for fabulous food in Dunedin; for dinner with a view, try the casual Bon Apetit & Marina Café, or for some authentic beach brew we recommend the Dunedin Brewery & Snug Pub, specializing in local ales. Whether you’re planning a family-friendly weeklong vacation or a romantic weekend getaway, Dunedin, Florida is a fantastic fit for your beach adventure.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium
"They would do better if they called it something else. Its not really an Aquarium its more a rescue center for Dolphins and especially Turtles. Kids love the Dolphins, there are Otters and a few fish as well. For a few extra dollers they will take you out on the water in a boat and they net a few of the things that live in the water for you to see. Well worth a visit the money goes to a good cause and it doesn't cost a fortune." - a Tripadvisor user

Sand Key Park
"I LOVE this beach!!! Absolutely beautiful with white sand and the clear waters! Small shells wash up on the beach, beautiful palms everywhere! Conveinent parking! My favorite beach in Clearwater and that is even over Pier 60! We have traveled to Clearwater 4 times in the past few years and always make several trips to Sand Key!!!" - a Yahoo user
