New Castle, Delaware Hotels, Things to do, and Vacation Information.
When taking New Castle vacations in Delaware, the first
places to see would be the three major museums that folks of this charming town
are proud of. They called their town Historic New Castle and travelers will
find this obvious in visiting the three museums that tell about the Dutch
colonists, the Revolutionary heroes, and the famous 19th century Americans. All
museums are maintained by the
New
Castle Historical Society. However, no two New Castle vacations are the
same and all depends on the month of the year when travelers visit this town.
In June, the town celebrates the
New Castle
Separation Day. In August, there will be a
Historic New Castle Antiques Show that
is organized by the Mancuso Show Management. When taking New Castle vacations
in August, travelers should spend time at the Waterfront area of the Battery
Park where the Antiques Show will be held. Then, in September, the New Castle
vacations take on the creative spirit when the Lions Club sponsors the
Art on the Green. In October, bizarre New
Castle vacations may take place because of the event sponsored by the
New Castle Historical Society. The
event is called “Hauntings in History.” And finally, all year round, the
travelers can always visit the
Arasapha
Garden Club which flourished through the efforts of three determined women:
Mrs. Francis deH. Janvier, Miss Mary E. Shaw, and Mrs. Henry G. Cavenaugh.
