Also known as the “Gateway to New England,” the Old Greenwich in Connecticut is probably the most interesting destinations for family vacations. This is because on one side of Old Greenwich, there is a beach on a 147-acre peninsula with its charming panorama of the ocean that has been dotted by sailboats that have romantic silhouettes during moonlit nights. Travelers can catch fish from any of the rocky areas and then put their catch on grills that are provided in the picnic areas. From the town of Old Greenwich, the travelers can also booked reservations for a camping trip on the Great Captain’s Island. On the other side of Old Greenwich, people can find rolling hills where family vacations can be spent on horse farms. Some travelers in this area may be interested in trying out the fairways of the Greenwich Country Club. And then, right on the middle of Old Greenwich, the family can enjoy many benefits of country living as well as get acquainted with the history of the folks who live in Old Greenwich.
