Ledyard, Connecticut Hotels, Things to do, and Vacation Information.
The geography of Ledyard is interesting. There are red maple
swamps and there are rugged and rocky uplands. This geography alone can be one
of the reasons why travelers, especially photographers, take Ledyard vacations.
Ledyard is a suburb that is conveniently located between two major cities, New
York and Boston. Thus, aside from the land formations, Ledyard vacations also
offer opportunities for other types of recreation, such as playing golf, water
sports, and the casino, and touring both parks and farms. One park is the
11-acre Sawmill Park that displays artifacts of the Industrial Revolution. One
farm is the Nathan Lester House, which was built in the 18th century. Although
this farm is located on Gales Ferry, it is owned by the Town of Ledyard. But if
the travelers really wanted unique Ledyard vacations, then the place to go is
the
Spa in the Woods. The setting
of this 14-acre establishment gives a wonderful glimpse of the whole
southeastern region of Connecticut. The woods have a calming effect. Of course,
travelers do not come here to enjoy the view. They come to get relaxing and
reenergizing massage therapies. Massage, of course, has been accepted by many
people to have numerous health benefits, including increased blood circulation,
decreased pain and stress, and improved digestion. And even if the traveler
does not believe in the therapeutic effects of massage, having a spa body wrap
can be the most indulgent and luxurious experience.
