OUR TAKE ON EAST WINDSOR
East Windsor vacations are invigorating family vacations. By seeing East Windsor, a traveler will better appreciate his American heritage as well as have a lot of fun. Once in East Windsor, the traveler can get a glimpse of the history of Connecticut by going to the Connecticut Trolley Museum. It is the oldest museum that focused on electric railroading. But East Windsor, which is just a few minutes away from the Bradley International Airport, is primarily an agricultural town. It started as a settlement of farmers in the 17th century and today, agriculture is still a major industry. This is due to the soil made fertile by the Connecticut River. East Windsor is composed of five villages, Broad Brook, Scantic, Melrose, Windsorville, and Warehouse Point. Each village is unique and East Windsor vacations can be equal to having tours of five different places. For example, the Trolley Museum is at Warehouse Point. The village of Scantic hosts the East Windsor Academy Museum, which is managed by the East Windsor Historical Society. And in the village of Melrose has the historic Melrose School, which is a one-room schoolhouse that is typical of early settlements. This schoolhouse continued to operate until the early part of the twentieth century. With each village offering a different experience, there will be East Windsor inns and other accommodations that will cater to the needs of the travelers.
