Aptos, California

Aptos, California Hotels, Things to do, and Vacation Information.

At the base of the San Francisco area Forest of the Nisene Marks State Park (SP), Aptos, CA is a quaint coastal area in Santa Cruz County.  Aptos includes several other communities located along the scenic Hwy 1.

Seacliff State Beach is full of things-to-do during an Aptos, California vacation.  There’s a long stretch of beautiful sand beach, pier, and RV camping with full hook-ups available.  The State Beach offers restrooms, showers, and full hook-up for reasonable prices.  Although pet friendly and kid-friendly, the State Beach requires written parental permission for camping minors.  Other Aptos activities include kayaking, windsurfing, fishing and swimming.  The USS Palo Alto, a vintage WW1 cement ship, is a popular tourist attraction.

Nisene Mark SP is a wonderful monument to forest regeneration, is a travel destination for families and even romantic couples.  With over 30 miles of hiking trails, with barbeque pits, picnic tables, camping, horseback riding, and 10,000 acres of rugged wilderness for exploration and seclusion.  For romantic couples seeking more luxury and comfort in Aptos Lodging, we recommend The Apple Lane Inn.  We were entranced with their “Wine Cellar Room,” a pet and kid-friendly room!  On the top floor, “The Attic Room” provides the perfect romantic getaway in Aptos, California Travel.
