Helena, Arkansas

Helena, Arkansas Hotels, Things to do, and Vacation Information.

If you ask the residents of Helena what defines Helena best, the first thing they will say is the blues.  Helena has proudly shown off its blues roots since the 1940s, where the blues movement was revived in this small town, and currently hosts the biggest festivals in the United States, the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival.  If you don't like the blues, head to Branson instead.

We highly recommend Helena as a great place to take your kids for a summer family vacation.  Make sure to take your kids to the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival, which is also free to attend.  Take the kids downtown to explore historic Helena also, followed up by a visit to a local restaurant.

To complete your vacation on a romantic note, stop by the Mississippi -- specifically, Crowley's Ridge -- for a spectacular view.  Dine by the Mississippi before noon for a relaxing, romantic time.  Pick local lodging inside of town, which still holds that rustic, romantic feel (usually lodging like this does not last long, so book lodging early) along with helpful, accommodating staff.  Helena is truly a kid's (and some romantics') paradise.  For more information about vacations in Helena, including its rich blues history, attractions, and lodging, please visit their website.
