THINGS TO DO

  1. Phoenix Zoo
"Took my nephews, 5, & 6 here the day before Xmas. What a treat! Easy walking for young little legs and though it ends up being MILES before you finish, it doesn't feel too strenous for we grownups either. The only exception is the trail habitat containing the Mountain Goats (but you'd expect that wouldn't you?) Animals are all easily seen, the rhinos are great, put on quite show playing in their habitat with logs and rings hanging from trees. Actually, all the animals seemed quite comfortable, there was no pacing or staring as you find at other zoos. Nice selection of animals, zoo employees very knowledgable when asked questions. Food was reasonably priced and a good selection. I've visited a lot of Zoos with children, mine and others. The measuring stick of success is held by the kids. The Phoenix Zoo had them chattering all 5 hours of the visit and fast alseep before we left the parking lot at the end of the day. Great Zoo!" - a Tripadvisor user
  2. Papago Golf Course
"We play there every week. The holes are difficult and challenging. Best of all, there are no stupid target golf holes like in so many $$$ desert golf courses ." - a Yahoo user
  3. Pueblo Grande Museum
"a old indain village from 700 ad that has been nicely preserved with a detailed museum. a great place to study indain designs and see some classic pottery. has reconstructed some of the old pit houses- give you an idea of what it must have been to live long ago when you lived totaly off the land." - a Yahoo user
