Gulf Shores, Alabama Hotels, Things to do, and Vacation Information.

Due to its location, the city of Gulf Shores, Alabama is also known as the city of Gulf Shores. Travelers to this community will not miss the long shoreline and the golden beaches. This is why summer often means Gulf Shores vacations. These summer vacations can be family vacations, romantic getaways, shopping vacations, and spa relaxations.

However, some of the locals believe that one of the best times to have Gulf Shores vacations is in the month of October. This is the month when the Annual National Shrimp Festival is held. This festival is one of the country’s most celebrated outdoor events in which more than 300 vendors gather together to showcase the best in fine arts, crafts, retail products, and, of course, the unforgettable and irresistible shrimp.

Besides the gorgeous beach and the exciting frenzy of the festival, the travelers to Gulf Shores can also visit the Gulf State Park and the Gulf Shores Museum. The Gulf State Park is more than 6,000 acres in area and includes 2 ½ miles of beach, a freshwater lake, several nature trails, and a beach pavilion. The Gulf Shores Museum, which is originally a beach house that was converted into a museum after Hurricane Fredrick, showcased an artifact collection, a small butterfly garden, a library, a recreation center, a Lagoon Village exhibit, and an electrifying video of Hurricane Hunters.
